In August 2013 I visited Mom and Bill in South Lyon, Michigan, the 14 through the 17th. The weather was fabulous and I had a great visit. Bill and Mom were outside on the sunny warm Wednesday afternoon I arrived, Mom "supervising" Bill's gardening. I was glad to see Mom was able to ambulate well as she put the flag up by her door as well as making her way around the townhouse. She would pass away 2 years later, 26 Feb 2015. At one point during my stay she was curious about a local worker who replaced a couple water stained window panes while out in his truck and watched at the front door to make sure he wasn't going anywhere with her property.
I had to take a couple pictures of Mom at dinner with a couple of Melissa's encaustic photographs hanging on the wall in the background adding to the decoration and class of her townhouse
Bill and I also enjoyed biking as he showed me one of his favorite bike trails going north out of town (not pictured). Again the weather was great for this.
I'm glad that Marylou and Ron and Mark came out to visit while I was there since it has been a couple years since I've seen them. We had a nice though too brief a visit. Mark opened his guitar case and he, Bill, and I took turns playing, much to Mom's delight (so it appeared).
I also made the obligatory visit to the South Lyon Cemetery to visit Dad's grave in remembrance. Dad had lived to be 82, passing away 4 Mar 2006. They are both severely missed!
