Palm City Vacation -- page 4
Thursday we drove down to Jupiter along A1A which continues to hug the coast. If you haven't ventured down there yet, you should because it is beautiful! Both sides of the road are lined with exquisitely manicured lawns of estates. Our first stop was Coral Cove Park where we watched some surfers take advantage of the high winds and waves. Next we stopped at Blowing Rocks Preserve, which is a protected area of coral reef and rock formation, so-called because the water and sea spray blow up through the holes in the rock. They have also removed all of the "imported" tropical plants and left only the plants native to the area. There's a beautiful walkway along the water and reef that is sheltered by canopying sea grape bushes.
We enjoyed a good though inexpensive lunch in Jupiter at the Crab House, across the river from the Jupiter Lighthouse. Then on our way home Friday we detoured in Daytona to drive by the NASCAR super speedway there as seen in the last 4 pictures.
